Credit Cards to Rule the World

We grow up into a world that money is a big factor of it and in a way is setting our lives and it goes back to 600 BC, where The first known currency was created by King Alyattes in Lydia, now part of Turkey, in 600BC. The first coin ever minted features a roaring lion. Coins then evolved into bank notes around 1661 AD. The first credit card was introduced in 1946.

Now, pay attention to the last sentence about credit card, it was introduced in 1946, and at the end of 2019 I can say the day of life without coins is coming fast, more and more countries will adopt it and us, the consumers, will love it!

Here’s 2 reasons why:

  1. Easy to carry: credit cards are lighter to carry than coins and cash. There’s no need for space and it won’t alert machines when you go through at the airport.
  2. Transactions are registered and you can keep track of your purchase.

I know that China already deals with smartphones and credit cards, and it makes sense since all of our lives goes into our smartphones it holds everything so why not purchase with it. Everything soon will be purchased with smartphones but until then we can still enjoy the “credit cards“ revolution that will be for a year or three before we see that credit cards will also “pass away” from our life and make a place for all the payments apps that are already part of our lives but still relays on credit cards.

So, I was fascinated to be able to travel Norway without the need to see its own currency or to hold it in my hands since everything was purchased by credit card or through the sites by PayPal.

All we need now is the addition of few abilities that can give us as consumers the option to control our daily/ hourly expense and offers us the opportunity to make transactions all over (at least when we travel).
